New Delhi [India], June 7 (ANI): Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu and member of the all-party delegation led by BJP MP Baijyant Panda said that India received a “great” response from the world during the operation Sindoor outreach campaign.
Satnam Singh, part of the all-party delegation that visited Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria, said that New Delhi gave a very precise response to the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives via Operation Sindoor.
“… In one month, India gave a very precise response in a very short time. PM Narendra Modi had promised that as part of our zero tolerance policy, whoever attacks India, we will give a befitting response. That is exactly what Indian forces did and destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan. Retaliation and counter-retaliation followed. Prime Minister did what he said,” the Rajya Sabha MP told ANI.
“We completed such a big campaign on an international level. Our global outreach has been completed, and our teams have returned. India has received a great response from the world,” he added.
The delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, also includes Nishikant Dubey MP, BJP; Phangnon Konyak, MP, BJP; Rekha Sharma MP, NJP; AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi; Satnam Singh Sandhu MP; Ghulam Nabi Azad; and former India’s Ambassador to the US Harsh Shringla.
The delegation briefed international partners on India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and its broader fight against cross-border terrorism while engaging with leaders in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria.
The multi-party delegation, consisting of seven groups led by one MP each, has been initiated to counter global misinformation and highlight India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.
Earlier, All-Party Delegation member Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that there is a clarity of thought among partner countries regarding Pakistan’s association with terrorism.
Sandhu told ANI that there is also concern about the developing access between China and Pakistan.
“There is a clear thinking about Pakistan’s association with terrorism… The role of the Pakistan Army, that they yield the real power… There is a clarity of thought that the Pakistan Army creates tensions abroad to establish its legitimacy back home. People in the United States are pretty clear on China… People were concerned about the developing access between China and Pakistan… Pakistan must be mindful because, irrespective of their propaganda, the reality will catch up to bite them,” Sandhu said.
He added that in all the countries that they visited, the countries wanted to establish ties with India. There was a clear contrast between our development-orientated approach and whatever Pakistan is giving them.
“Across all four countries, there was a clear clamour for having a strong economic relationship with India. One common theme was that they wanted IITs to be established. There is a clear contrast between our development-orientated approach and whatever Pakistan is giving them… In all these countries, there was a desire to deepen their existing economic partnership with India further… Connecting with them and making our case, especially on terrorism, made a lot of sense to them, and they strongly supported our position,” Sandhu told ANI.
All-Party Delegation Leader and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor held discussions with the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee on strengthening the India-US strategic partnership, regional security, and global cooperation. (ANI)
